Daybreak in the Valley
From the Tunnel View parking area I was blessed with the sun blanketing the valley at sunrise.
A September storm was passing through Yosemite on the day I visited and at Olmstead lookout I caught sunlight splashing the face of Half Dome through the storm clouds.
Near Bridal Veil Falls, a coyote came out of the woods briefly and I caught this portrait on New Year's Eve day.
At El Portal across the Merced river I woke up to this windless snowscape taking place from my hotel balcony. This is a long exposure capture of the snow falling straight down and blanketing the forest.
High Sierra Glow
Off of Tioga Road heading to Lee Vining, I stopped to eat a sandwich and drink a beer at this Alpine pond where a deer was roaming and an aspen glow enveloped the mountain landscape.
Heading out of the valley during an early morning visit, I had to stop several times just to take in the wonder of this place.
Yosemite Falls from Swinging Bridge
Early on Sunday morning before summer crowds overran the landscape I took this long exposure of the falls and bridge from downriver.
